PRELIMINARY CALL FOR PAPERS

The 11th IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS 2015) will be held in Sydney, Australia on 9 – 12 June 2015. The conference is a biennial event and is recognized as one of the major series of conferences in power electronics and drive systems. PEDS 2015 continues to retain its tradition of high quality conference and will open up an opportunity for academics and industrial professionals worldwide to exchange their knowledge of the state-of-the-art power electronics and drive technologies and applications. The 4-day programme will feature tutorials and technical paper presentations. Paper presented in conference will be submitted to the office of IEEEXplore Digital Library and EI Compendex after the conference.

The range of technical topics includes but not limited to:
  • Power semiconductors, Power integrated circuits (PIC), passive components and packaging technologies
  • Motor drives and motion control
  • Analysis and design of electrical machines
  • Hard-switching and soft-switching static power converters and UPS
  • Applications of power electronics in power system and generation/FACTS
  • Power quality issues, harmonic problems and solutions
  • EMI/EMC issues

  • Applications of power electronics in home appliance, industry and aerospace
  • Renewable energy technologies
  • Distributed generation and smart-grid
  • Modelling and simulation in power electronics
  • Power electronics related education/professional development
  • Bio-medical power electronics
  • Telecommunications power supplies
  • Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)
  • Power electronic emerging technologies

Prospective authors are invited to submit an extended summary in text font size 11pt of no more than 3 pages including figures. The submission must clearly state: the purpose of the work; the manner and degree to which it advances the art; and specific new results that have been obtained and their significance.

Prospective authors should note the following deadlines. Please mark these dates in your calendar.

  • Digest submission deadline: 30 October 2014
  • Notification of paper acceptance: 30 January 2015
  • Final paper submission deadline: 2 March 2015
